Welcome to the demo of Chasing Shadows! The sequel to my visual novel Chasing tail! This demo showcases a small teaser of the story and world to come in the new visual novel Chasing Shadows! This game is going to be a sequel, taking place directly after the previous game, but with new lands, characters, and stories to tell!​

v0.15 It's been a while since I released a new Chasing Shadows update, and while this one still won't go further in the story, it does have a lot of new additions and changes. As this game gets developed I constantly get ideas for how to make the story better or add in new features that will continue through the game. It's an evolving process that's slowly taking shape. In this build, there's quite a few characters who get replaced or species are swapped, and some of the storyline that's changed up a bit. Many of the swapped characters have some placeholder AI art at the moment and I'll probably redraw and touch up later. But I feel like these swaps improve the story and how the setting feels. There are a couple new lewd scenes, and a couple placeholder lewd scenes, and then one lewd scene that's getting redone. Because of the nature of this game's setting, I'm not pulling any punches in terms of kinks and taboo subjects, so I also added a kink selector before starting the game so players can toggle off anything they're not a fan of. And like always there are probably bugs and parts of the game that aren't working properly as it's an early build, but I wanted to put this up and out there to show that it's being worked on still ^^ v0.14 Change how the script is loaded from CSV files to markdown files and change how the game reads actions Replace Unity's UI scaling with my own (way better) solution and then for actually updating the game, there are probably too many changes to list, but some other notable changes include Completely redo the backgrounds (again) Add in more character sprites. Feral sprites. macro sprites. different versions of current sprites. improving old sprites. add a new item that will be used and be a major component later in the game Add in some new scenes to the beginning part of the game Add in global scenes that can be revisited any time in the story (for things like stores or places where you can turn in a quest) increase the length of the public build Still lots planned for this VN. I try to get some work in on it when I can in my spare time. It's proving to be a bit more ambitious than my last one but hopefully in the end it'll be worth it.
