City in the Fog is a free text game erotic porn simulator with RPG elements about exploring a mystical city full of secrets and dangers. Most of the game consists of text mixed with AI-generated and then manually processed art, which allows you to reduce the amount of text needed to describe scenes and not waste extra time. The player controls a character with many different interrelated parameters that can be configured in various ways both by him personally and as a result of activating various game events. Some events can even affect the appearance of the game character. The global goal of the game for a character who accidentally ended up in a mysterious and dangerous city is to get the opportunity to travel through the fog and leave the city in which he is stuck, avoiding physical death and mental degradation, the down-to-earth goal is to discover as many events and mysteries of the City in the Fog as possible.​

On the beach outside the city and in some locations within the city, the character may be attacked by a swarm of golden insects, whose bites can reduce body proportions and the MindCurse parameter. 2. When attacked by a golden swarm, the player is given (randomly one of two) to use a fitness or dexterity check to escape from it. Swarm attacks only occur during the day or evening, when body proportions are high and the Stealth Potion is not active. 3. This is probably the single worst feeling Twine game I've ever touched. Normally, "bad" Twine games are simply low effort, or make some questionable mechanical decisions, so you're at least left with Twine defaults, but this game lovingly puts a lot of effort into feeling awful to play. Every single screen transition is a glacially slow fade out, followed by a glacially slow fade in. Every single piece of text is split into the tiniest possible fragments, sometimes literally a single line, all with a glacially slow fade out, followed by a glacially slow fade in. The transitions aren't even built right, the entire page fades out instead of just the parts that are changing, but it's impossible to say if this was a deliberate choice. Even mashing the skip button feels sluggish. The interface looks like it was made for phones (derogatory), but isn't even responsive. It breaks on anything smaller than a tablet.

An excellent, atmospheric, and well-written game. The game suffers a bit from the standard sandbox grind, but much less so than most of its ilk. Very RNG-dependent, to the point that I'd occasionally save-scum to get an interesting random event. A few things don't make complete sense, like corruption working much like it does in other games, but going down every time you sleep. That makes things hard at the beginning, since so much is gated behind corruption (the old "you have to be corrupt to gain corruption" bind). Random events eventually pull the player out of that bind. But that's really my only complaint. This is otherwise one of the better games in the genre, and full of variety.

Wow, haven't seen anything this horrible in a while. Game looked promising (thme and visuals), but it seems the developers just try to annoy the players up until the point that the game isn't playable. The images/viewport don't scale. I'm playing on a regular laptop and can't see half the images. I entered a shop and couldn't exit it (probably because the exit button was cut off), making it unable to continue the game. Which brings me to the next point. Why is there no back button? A simple mistake can't be undone and in the former example the back button could have been a save. Lastly, why do I have to press continue after each single sentence, argh. Please put more text on a passage and greatly decrease the ammount of clicks the player needs to make.

I really like this game—and I hope development continues with even more content. The text in the prologue takes a really long time to appear, and the removal of the back button is a controversial decision, but I think it’s ultimately worth it. Hopefully they’ll improve this aspect and polish the text further. The art is top-notch, and I absolutely love how they use AI.

too much grind, hide buttons if they can't be used, animating and typing out text slowly is pointless and annoying, this game is bad in its current state. no idea where to go or what to do. i haven't seen a game that looked so promising but delivered so little. try it again in about a year if its not abandoned. this really needs to go back to the drawing board, whole bunch of nothing!

[v0.2.3] Basically unplayable. Walking costs stamina, a city divided into cardinal directions requires a chunk of stamina to move through. Time changing is also partially random - some reasonable, some unpredicted changes. Most places are open / closed at certain days and certain times. You walk relatively - also only in cardinal directions, so you get lost. Map is a useless picture with no information on it. You can end up stranded because you ran out of energy while moving and can't move no more. Tries to be "Open World", "Hardcore", "Survival", "Dynamic". Does not care nor respect you, not worth even exploring the map. Not 1 star only because not abandoned.

i have no idea why this was released. So many features are WIP but we are not talking advance things here somethings as privative as settings, have not been worked on. There is no content, the basic mechanics are unfinished. multiple errors in the code. There is no story beyond the introduction to multiple locations. The timed delay of text being displayed on the screen is FUCKING annoying. No back option so if you missed a line of text in a conversation you have to reload a save and fucking endure this bloody slow drip of dialogue all over again just to see what you missed. There is no game here. Most mechanics are unfinished and the night events are fucking stupid. people in the slums have knock out gas? WTF!?! What are poor people doing with sophisticated means of rendering people unconscious? The reason is so they can sexually assault you or rob you. Because the amount of money it would cost to buy knockout gas means that targeting the poorest people for $20 and not targeting people for ten times that shows the brilliance of the writing here. No game play, no content, no story, limited events make zero sense. There is nothing of value to download
