About Garden of Roses
Garden of Roses is a Ren'Py game from Outis Media, shown in 2D CG art. The player is Will Getz, a hot-headed young man returning to Edelton after fifteen years away to settle unfinished business. The story follows him as he meets Rosa Oaks, a harpy girl carrying a cursed family inheritance, and encounters people from his past during two weeks in the twilight town. It is a sandbox Ren'Py game with male protagonist and monster girl themes, ending with a choice shaped by your actions.
The current build is v1.1, released September 4, 2023, and development is ongoing. It is available for Windows, Linux, and Mac, in English, without censorship. The latest changelog notes Summer set 1.1 improvements are now live on Steam and Itch, along with a Kickstarter prelaunch page and release schedule updates. It also mentions writing and storyboard progress, a character reveal for John Lain, and earlier entries about a demo and initial release.

You play Will Getz, a hot-headed young man with unfinished business and a score to settle. When were seven years old, you left the town you'd grown up in the middle of the night, never to return. Fifteen years later, you return to the quaint town of Edelton to finish things where you left off. Everything is exactly as you remember it, even the arrangement of the furniture. While in town, you soon find yourself drawn to a harpy girl named Rosa Oaks, a pitiable girl inheriting a cursed family fortune and all of the misery that accompanies it. Figures from the past and present cross paths over the two weeks you spend closing the lid on the past, culminating in an ending of your own choosing. At the end of it all, surrounded by your new friends, you try with all your might to remember something you've been forgetting for well over a decade: What happened, on that night? Welcome to Edelton, a twilight town of Rose and Ash.
