How I Became the Bodyguard of the Saintess! is an adult visual novel made by Lunardis with Ren'Py. The player controls this boy, who grew up beside the Saintess, a powerful girl known as a protector of light. Development is ongoing, and the latest build is v1.0, released September 18, 2026. It runs on Windows, Mac, and Android, is written in English, and is uncensored. The v1.0 changelog adds a new chapter focused on Theresa, the commander of the knights, with 8,400 words, 400 renders, and 16 animations. Earlier updates expanded Angelica's story and added a Saki chapter.

- The screen at the end was showing the wrong number (v0.7 instead of v0.8), this has been corrected.
- Some of you have noticed a bug with the MC name, I haven't managed to get exactly the same problem, so I'm not entirely sure... But if I've guessed correctly, it should be fixed.
To be clear, the corrections aren't very significant, so if you played the last version and didn't have any problems, I'd recommend ignoring it.
