There are houses that are abandoned. And there are houses that wait. When documentary filmmaker Ramón Aguirre loses both credibility and funding, he sees one last opportunity to resurrect his career: a long-forgotten estate tied to rumors, witches, and the elusive figure of Madame Medeleine. The Madeleine Mansion. What begins as a desperate professional gamble slowly unfolds into something far less controllable. Financial instability, fractured family dynamics, suppressed guilt, and unresolved past sins intertwine with a coven whose influence feels both archaic and disturbingly modern. But this is not a story about haunted corridors. This is a reimagining of Irreverent Heresy

This is a partial review of 0.7 because I couldn't stand to reach the end. The good bits: * Models are OK. The bad: * Dialogue is disjointed and just poor, matching the way most scenes are put together: you keep watching a render (or two, alternating) for the whole scene while the characters keep yapping in a frozen pose. The next scene can be similar or worse, depending on your luck. Angles also feel forced; I can dig that while you're meeting the Regent, but forcing a dramatic angle in almost every scene is not justified. * In addition to that, it's not that characters look stiff. Some scenes are so cheap they look like actual statues, like the Mother (not) greeting you at the convent. * Lighting is terrible in some scenes, to the point of characters doubling as light sources as they are plastered onto a dark background. * Every single attempt in the script at being funny only makes the dialogue even worse. * UI design is poor. The default font is hard to read. A "skip" button keeps appearing at times but it does not skip anything, as it is just another way to advance the scene, making it totally redundant. * Most background music does not match the setting. The music that plays in the main menu is virtually the only one that fits. * It would seem there's a single sound sample passing for SFX, a "thud" of sorts that is used for absolutely everything, including a door opening or a demon pouncing on someone. * People refer to other people on a first name basis when they clearly shouldn't, like a son talking to his father. Margo even refers to Ramon as "your Ramon" instead of "your dad" while talking to her son. * Typos, like "Medeleine" instead of Madelaine or whatever she's supposed to be called. I can understand the developer feels down for not getting all the support he would like for his work but if he wants a good rating from yours truly he will have to try *a lot* harder. Admittedly I didn't get too far in the game (just enough to meet Veronica) but what I saw is some of the worst "gameplay" I've seen in my whole life.
