Missing Time is a text-driven dating sim and horror mystery by Abyss, built in the Others engine. You play a male protagonist who returns to his childhood small town for his last year of high school. After an unlucky chain of events, he investigates strange local cases that pull in more acquaintances. Choices steer the story toward staying ignorant or pursuing detective work. The game uses Japanese anime-style visuals, animated CGs, a custom GUI, and includes 150,000-plus words, four character routes, eight or more endings, one secret route, and 23 CGs.
Development is finished, with the final build released on May 20, 2021 for Windows. It is available in English, uncensored, and contains no sexual content. The latest update added a new main route that diverges strongly from existing paths, three new CGs by SydusArts, and a dream-sequence choice at the start. It also made Sumire’s route accessible by turning down the Occult Club invitation in the second scene, and changed the free route to focus on Shizuyo rather than Chiharu.

Just as you moved back to your childhood town, an unfortunate chain of events leads you to a series of mysterious cases buried away by the locals. Your friends seem just as clueless as you are … Or are they? Guided by only the vaguest clues and instinct, your task is to find the missing pieces of bizarre cases that seem to involve more and more people you know as you go along. As time progresses, you must choose: Either to stay ignorant, enjoy your last year of High School blissfully and hope for the best, or dive head-first into detective mode and claw your way out.
