Yes, it does play about as well as you'd expect. Do not recommend. I mean, the game functions....but it's got no real payoff. You have the few sprite sex scenes and then the character portraits (all of which are in the previews)...and that's it. So the game starts off slow and takes you a bit to figure out controls and how to move on the map...and it's buggy, meaning if you save then you freeze in our current location and then you have to move to a different location. There's a bunch of stuff you can buy to snazz up your room...but there seems to be no other function to it than the aesthetics. I maxed out all my stats in an hour or two, and I completed two of the objectives, but the "Finish studying" objective seems to be broken. I was hoping to finish the game to see if there was some kind of payoff...alas, no. Definitely not worth your time in this iteration.
