The Wasteland Duel

A fantastic text-based game, an excellent example of how much can be done with a relatively minimalist approach. The writing is clean and focused. The game does not waste your time with excessive set up, instead dropping you straight into the action and trusting you to figure things out. The combat system is intuitive and gets the job done, though I would not mind some additional complexity or trickery to keep the player a bit more involved. As it is, the "powerful witch" is pretty straightforward to beat, so upping the challenge would not be out of place. Some additional reactivity in the attack & transformation options depending on the player's condition would be a nice touch as well.
