About Between Invisible Walls

Between Invisible Walls is a Ren'Py adult visual novel from Spicy Marmalade Studio, presented with 3D rendered scenes. Three friends who have lost their home are saved by a man named Shadow and brought into the 121 shelter. Each chapter follows a different character through a pivotal moment in life. You play as Koji, trying to make choices that may free him from a cruel fate while exploring the shelter for answers and acceptance. The corridor rooms can be visited to uncover the mysteries they conceal. The design supports a sandbox feel and multiple endings, with a male protagonist.

The current build is v1.0, released on January 15, 2025. It runs on Windows, Mac, and Linux, with English text and no censorship.

Developer's description

Three friends lose their home and are rescued by a man, Shadow, who takes them with him to be part of the 121 shelter. Each chapter shows the point of view of the characters facing a crucial event in their lives. Play with Koji and help him make the best decision to free himself from the cruel fate that awaits him as he wanders through the shelter in search of acceptance and answers. Visit the rooms in the shelter's corridor to understand the mysteries they hide.

What the hell even was it. This is such a frustrating experience, but there are beautiful parts here too. (for those who wonder, no, there is no NTR somehow) Narrative is a MESS. A giant tangled whatever sprinkled with god…
