About In The Dark
In The Dark is an adult horror game made by Spicy Marmalade Studio in Ren'Py, using animated 3D CG art. You play as Shoji Suzuki, an officer in an assault squad who helps detective Yamato Inoue investigate a gang of bloody criminals. A recurring dream clouds his sight and separates him from reality, while an unseen girl represents a desire he may not be ready to face. During tonight's mission, the squad becomes caught in an event beyond their kind, one meant to stay secret forever. The story blends investigation, horror, and monster themes.
The current build is ongoing, released as v1.0 on July 26, 2024. It runs on Windows, Linux, Mac, and Android, in English, and is uncensored. The latest changelog entry is v1.0 Initial Release, marking the first published version rather than a demo or final build.
