Okay, this game Champions of the Goddess did impress me a little bit. Here are my thoughts. First, the design of the text boxes. These were great. Was so cool that instead of seeing black and white text, we got to see a different design of the text boxes to fit the medieval fantasy setting. Second, am interested in the world. I want to know how Vore exists in this world where is it something everyone can do or only those with divine intervention can pull off. Third, like the quest as you collect mushrooms with your friend Celina. Makes sense Celina might need help collecting mushrooms in the forest for potions. As for the characterization of the main character Scout and Celina. Was hit or miss. Scout just feels like an everyman protagonist without much more going on with her. She wants to be an adventurer while stuck on a farm. Pretty standard. Though she does have a spark of personality when she ate her dad’s food for making her do chores or having a big appetite. Or when she easily agreed to eat a fairy when told to. Celina was okay as well. Just do not have much to say about them. Found combat to be a joke. Now, the people who are going to be playing this M rated game are not going to be children so the game can afford to be a bit more challenging. Found Celina’s heal to be really OP against the birds. Either make the ravens do more damage or nerf Celina’s heal to where she either has to drink mana potions to heal others or nerf the heal itself. Now, this could be to simply introduce people to combat but we find out later those birds must have been tough enough to kill a cult member. Was almost at the point I feel like Scout could have taken out all the cultists all on her own without the Godess’ intervention (with enough potions). The zombie from the dead person’s house was a great little touch.
