About Chronicles of Erion

Chronicles of Erion is a Ren'Py visual novel by MbcbGame, using 3DCG visuals. You play a male protagonist in Erion, a land where people turned away from the gods and darkness spread. Creatures unknown to history move across kingdoms, civilizations are being destroyed, and a great force awakens while the fate of the gods remains unclear. The story is presented as an introduction to the series, with romance, harem, and monster girl themes.

The current build is Chapter 2 v1.04, dated June 28, 2024, and development is ongoing, as earlier notes mention starting Chapter I. It is available for Windows, Mac, and Linux in English, with no censorship. The v1.02 changelog lists added animations, dialog lines, and renderings; v1.01 expanded the introduction and noted work on Chapter I.

Developer's description

The world began to fall into disgrace and darkness, after people left the gods aside, creatures never seen or reported in Erion's history walked across their lands, kingdoms and civilizations are being decimated. A great force awakens in chaos and nobody knows what is happening. What happened to the gods? What's going on in Erion? This is the introduction of VN, I hope you like it.

There's a chance that the underlying story is interesting and engaging, but the pace of the storytelling seems quite slow, although that may be due to the dreadful English translation, which makes it an ordeal to progress through the game…
