"Lu – Steam Developer" is a horror game themed around game development. I am Lu, a game developer. I’ve created various works on my own as an indie. Sometimes I look back on my life. It hasn’t been a smooth or fortunate journey. …In the end, I gave up on everything. Video games— and every other path as well. But I have to express myself. Through video games. I have to dedicate myself to them. Through video games. That’s why I have to keep going. And there’s no escape.

This game was a surreal experience but entertaining. It took me about 40 minutes to beat and I enjoyed my time during it. The camera angles and scene cuts were cool and although there is a repetitive animation at each waypoint it was still an interesting game to play

Was waiting for the sex but the only humping going on here is me with the walls trying to find out where to go. Gooning aside, I found this to be emotionally immature, somehow being both self-loathing and self-gratifying. I know by saying that it can seem de-constructive but the concept that making games for yourself is a repetitive cycle shows a lack of self-reflection. However, I don't know this person and I honestly couldn't finish it so I could be wrong or something. We are all entitled to our feelings and if this is how they felt then so be it.

If you're expecting to reach a high level of orgasm, you will, but nothing will come out of your reproductive organ (or it will if you really want it to), but it will come out of your mind. The game isn't perfect; if I were to nag the dev, I'd say improve the HUD, but there are no words to describe how this game affected me, and I only realized this after "Lu" talks in the playground about how she could convey something she wanted to say in her video game, and her solution was to assign a score each time she did "XXX". This interaction between the dev, the game, and the player is what appeals to me in indie games. For me, this developer, whether he truly exists or is just the reincarnation of some god, whatever he believes in, even if he uses a technique of using people in the same situation as me to make me continue playing his game out of mere empathy, rekindled my passion for creating games and being able to communicate and leave a "lesson" in the hearts of those who played. Thank you!

An exhibitionist walking sim that delves into the repetitive life of a game developer. It is somewhat surreal and contemplative while offering us cute art and food for thought. It is not an erotically stimulating game, but one that gives insight into feelings of monotony and ever so slightly into this particular artist's process of game development. I highly recommend this game for those of us who are introspective or succumb easily to wistful feelings.
