I cannot express how disappointed I was with this game, it has huge potential but is ruined by a few obvious issues. Even though this game has very good visuals and the art style is a masterpiece, it unfortunately falls short everywhere else: - The story starts off good but the further you go, the worse it gets. The endings especially seem very poorly thought out. I am not sure what the attempt was here, cause most endings feel very empty, stupid, and unsatisfying. - Too much focus on Si-Won and Zellen rather than Mal0. You expect a game focused on Mal0 to be actually focused on Mal0, it isn't. - Vague and confusing choices, hard to know which choices impact the story and which don't. - Lack of sex scenes. There are so few h scenes, at first I was questioning whether or not this is a porn game. The h scenes included are also rather unsatisfying, even if the art is good. It is a shame, this game has great potential, but is dragged down by way too many issues. For that reason I cannot see myself giving it above two stars, way too many cons compared to pros.

V0.3.0 Pros: Beautiful drawn art, good use of textures to simulate the feel of telling through a story of an scp-1471. Some H scenes have animations. Game length is short, but has a decent amount of H scenes and the writing does enough to sell the setting of a comp sci majors tinkering with malO. Character variety is nice, the naive but hyper competent scp, the burnout undergrad, the shady but no nonsense OL. Cons: Choices are very vague on how they affect the outcome of the story, trying to fill the gallery and endings was unnecessarily tedious.

I'm truly torn here. This has great art and worldbuilding, and such an interesting story lead in that I was excited to see where it would go. Unfortunately, this story gets stunted into a very early and unsatisfying set of ending(s) that are sad, but have no real impact to make that loss worthwhile. The mod makes some of this better, adding hint text to tell you which choices (at least the not obvious ones) lead to h-scenes and (some) endings. You can pretty much figure these out yourself though by just always picking the "dicks out for the scp" option. Overall: 3/5 stars for sad waste of potential

First playthrough, zero horny scenes, the "True end" and that’s it. So… what was this game about, again? Was it about the widely known SCP-1471? Well, yes, but only for the first half hour of reading. As soon as the MC starts talking directly to Mal, it becomes clear that Mal is the most standard AI assistant imaginable. Completely understandable, predictable and friendly, with no ambiguity or hints of anything else. Oh right, game also shows us that Mal can supposedly influence objects in the real world. But here’s the catch: in the route I completed (the "True end", mind you), Mal never once used this ability, so it doesn’t matter. Just like the missing sister of the MC’s friend doesn’t matter. Just like Mal’s supposedly extraterrestrial origin doesn’t matter. After the first half hour of reading, absolutely nothing matters. The story turned out to be so empty that I have exactly zero motivation to replay it even once. If this "game" had lasted exactly those thirty minutes, I would’ve given this visual novel 5 stars - compact, concise, and to the point. But in its current form it’s a maximum of 2 stars: one for the visuals and one for the audio. What a waste

I am incredibly underwhelmed and disappointed after such an amazing 0.2 update and the 8 months of wait for it. I feel like we were barely beginning to scratch the surface of what we could do with Mal0 and how our relationship with her could progress, for it all to end the way it did and so quickly. Honestly, I feel like this game's story kinda suffered from having to include Si-Won and Zellen and especially make the former such a big center of the story. It doesn't feel like the focus between characters was properly shared, you'd think Mal0 would take a significantly higher focus than Si-Won. Hell, Zellen herself almost feels like an afterthought of a character despite how important to the plot she's supposed to be? Something that I do quite dislike about this update is the way that endings are decided and how vaguely they are differentiated, I can't even tell them apart. I mean, obviously the actual story contents inside the endings are different, but how they're presented to the audience and the steps required to get them is quite confusing. Plainly put, which endings are which?

i wanted to try the game for this specific reasons: it looks unique to other games i was thinking its gonna be funny i was hoping i could get her tamed and under control it wasn't nice game is basically play with walkthru simulator or game over you can't unlock gallery even if you finish the game twice with 2 different endings Choices are lackluster and most of them just end the game prematurely lewds are not hot and game wasn't funny or interesting to me skip unless you like malware related horrors idk

it's pretty good. I had a good time here. Just kinda wished the ending was more polished. For example, I would've wished to see more of that Professor Zellen. They introduced her as a pretty important character but she's pretty much written off in the ending. Also kinda wished there was more h-scenes, but the game is peak enough to stand on its own despite that

Decent bit of fun if you're strangely okay with the idea of getting sexual with extra-dimensional paranormal entities like SCP-1471 MallO ver1.0.0.0 Story 3.5/5 Graphics 4/5 Animations 1.7/5 Kind of wish it was a more polished game with more ending possibilities to find through various playthroughs.

My first play through I missed all of the H scenes because of my first choices which is a really decisive mistake early on. I was just really invested in the story to even care, "oh, must've not noticed that the game was tagged no sexual content, oh well stories great either way" and then the ending...jeez the ending sucks. Imagine how cool it would be that if you got all the endings, a new choice appeared where Malo learnt from the other saves and a true ending appears. (I'm coping)

The first 2 acts are great storytelling. Well-paced and the characters are very likeable; even though there weren't many H scenes, I brushed it off as I assumed there would be a payoff for making all the right decisions in Act 3. Suffice to say, the final act of this game is an incredible disappointment, not just in the lack of sex scenes, but also the massive drop-off in the writing's quality. The pacing in Act 3 is way too fast and everything gets resolved without an actually satisfying payoff. My favorite parts of Acts 1 and 2 were seeing the growth of the relationships between MC, MalO, and Si-Won. That all gets shelved in Act 3 to make time for a new character who is way less interesting and doesn't even really provide anything to better the story. Rather, they just shift the game's focus from slice-of-life fun to a more serious central narrative that I just couldn't bring myself to care about in the slightest. There's also a bit of a cliffhanger that potentially hints at a sequel. But even so, if it just sticks with the tone of this game's Act 3, I probably won't bother playing. Overall, it's a short and sweet VN that is unfortunately a bit soured by the underwhelming final act. Feels like maybe the dev lost focus of what made the story enjoyable in the first place.

Managed to miss the H scene on my first play through. 10/10 would miss H scene again. Feel in love with the artstyle the moment I saw it. Then enjoyed the storytelling to the point I forgot this was a porn game; it's well-written that it feels natural—immersive. More games with great story like this are needed.

Very nice and cute depiction of SCP-1471! Visually, it's pretty good, the black and white really fits. It would've been better if there were some animations, but tbh the lack of animation doesn't hurt the game at all. It's kinda short tho, and the true ending was kinda sad 4.5 stars

This game is simply incredible, it's not very common to see a game about MalO (SCP 1471) but the creator knew how to cook this game very well, besides the fact that most of the game is in black and white (and gray...) like MalO. Despite being short, it's very good and has a certain potential, maybe it could even have a sequel but that's very unlikely and uncertain.

Alright, for a visual novel I rather enjoyed this one. The artwork is is great and has a nice distinctive style to it, Mal0 is both an interestingly written character and a good mix of hot/cute, and in general the story is rather intriguing and seems to go somewhere for once. So for once we have a VN that plays into the story-heavy thing well unlike than the countless others that fall on their faces with storytelling. There is some level of animation but there's not that much and it is on the simpler side, and scenes are somewhat few and short. Also the ending does conclude the story rather abruptly, but with the final few bits of dialogue it seems there might be plans for a sequel, so I can overlook that. Putting aside those weaker points it's definitely a more memorable VN I can look upon fondly, definitely worth playing through at least once.

Overall pretty good short novel with a few paths. Unfortunately there's not much sexual content, there is only 5 or 6 good quality CG's out of 8. I enjoyed the story although most choices lead to less sexy results.

I'm not versed or familiar with SCP - I'm aware of it but never really looked into it. So naturally, I didn't know what I was getting into with Mal0vent . What I found was a short but very engaging story with pretty decent art! Mal0 ( or Mal0ry, as I called her in my game ) is one sexy monster girl. I kinda wish there were more H-scenes. I went in blind but maaaaaaaaan, this was such a treat! If NIGHT FOX chooses to continue with the story or start something new, I'm definitely going to check it out. Also, can I just say whoever did the art for the lingerie did a fantastic job on the lace. That shit was sexy as fark!

[v0.3.0] A good start with a really disappointing conclusion. The tone shift away from pseudo-slice-of-life was appreciated, but the results were certainly more mystery than horror. A mystery that I don't think really worked. Spoiler: Spoilers for v0.3.0 content The new character also feels like she's there to just end the story, wrap it up, cut and dry. It's interesting one of the creative writing lectures this update was about Lovecraft and the importance of withholding information, because all the info we got made the story feel cheaper and play worse. Plus, the stinger after the billed 'True End' was just awful, and felt both rushed and ham-fisted. -1 star. Spoiler: [v0.2.0] It's pretty short, but pretty involved for how early in development it is. Without getting too in-depth, I have to agree with another review that it being a porn game actually kinda hurts it. I found it much more interesting on my initial playthroughs, where I got the 'bad' ending and then went down the non-porn "friend" route. It feels like it has a bad case of genre mismatch. The aesthetics--artwork, music, sound design, premise--they all point towards a horror game, or at least horror-lite. But the actual story and events aren't remotely scary, to the point that these almost slice-of-life scenes are playing out to an accompaniment of suspense music. It's bizarre. Yeah I get that it's the premise of the SCP that it's not supposed to be dangerous, but it's also not supposed to have tits or play at a digital assistant. It's entirely possible that the story as it develops will resolve this feeling of mismatch I have, but for now it just feels like something's off. As for the technicals, they all range from competent to great. Mal0 herself manages to look appealing as someone who's more of a monster fucker than a furry, and your human friend is also well-drawn; attractive, but realistically so. The writing is generally solid, if simple. Although two sentences back-to-back in the intro saying how the MC's courses are 'kicking his ass' put my expectations in the gutter, so I may be biased. The music fits well with the art style, even if the two feel like a mismatch with the story. Maybe an hour or so to get through what's there so far, worth checking out. If you're on the fence, know that you can tell just by looking at it if it'll be appealing to you; your gut is correct. ★ ★ ★ ★ ☆ Good

Great game ! The story was interesting and the art is gorgeous. I am looking foward to get updates! Also, i did my first run without any H scenes, great experience when I decide to rerun to discover totaly new branches

Re-Reviewing as of final version. This is still very much excellent, great Art and great Writing resulting in a pretty looking and interesting story that manages to stay surprisingly spooky even after getting steamy. The characters (mc, and girls) all manage to feel like actual personalities which is something you really don't see often and is very difficult to accomplish. I very much recommend this game as one of the best on this site. *Spoilers Below This Point* I still was left wishing that there was a route at some point with MalO as the main LI. Si-Wan was nice and all but I overall found MalO to be more charming and would have chosen her of the two if I could have. That said this game was clearly meant to be a tragedy and so yes all of the endings are bittersweet at best I cant really fault the game for that as it was still very well written. I can only hope that this game receives a sequel as at least the true ending left some hope that MalO had in fact returned to you and with the hint she gives you about processing your data I hope we can see that play out in a sequel. I also for one liked the tie-in to the devs other work in the ending I like the supernatural universe that the dev is setting up with these games and oddly enough FNAF would fit into the SCP setting very well. I hope we can see the characters from both games more in future works and that the dev continues to expand on the supernatural occurrences around waterfall.

[v0.2.0] came for the porn stayed for the plot lil spoilery i do love how malo evolves with your decisions, even if it is flavor text it still does do the job of making it pretty "immersive". This is one of the rare cases that the this being a "porn game" actually ends up kinda hurting it in my opinion, i personally would like if it focused more on the plot and the evolution of malo and her relationship with the protagonist. overall i will leave a 5/5 for such an early version it show lots of potential of being a fun experience.
