Oathbreaker
by Icarue/6SIX6
Oathbreaker is a strategy/tactical RPG with a slow transformation of our main character, created by Icarue (head game development), 6six6 (head writing), and more contributors (editing/testing/support writing) Take control of the affectionately nicknamed "Pup", our protagonist, and his mercenary corp as they become embroiled in the mounting tensions and conflicts that the continent of Ilvanis has bending to a breaking point. This includes war, politics, and the ancient relics of the land: the Oathbreakers. These forbidden relics are famed for their ability to warp and defy the laws of the Goddess, and even Pup may find himself in their crosshairs.

So has been told the story of Pup, a story that is not played out in isolation. In this messy continent of Ilvanis, what other threads of fate shall be pulled at the string? A fate of beauty… or beast?
We’ve finished the new update with a new paralogue! This is the first of a few of these types of paralogue planned. Happy New Year and hopefully this is an enjoyable jaunt into the side characters’ stories, one that’ll also unlock their advanced class upgrade! We hope you enjoy!
[To play the new paralogue, you must complete the Norde x Pup B support]
Note: If you can't see some supports, play the quest "Debug January" to set the correct variables

v0.10.0
Through the myths and whispers of the Oathbreakers, a select few have been picked to be Guardians of these infamous objects. As our group approaches one of these Vaults, what will our Nightless Crows find? Mysteries? Conflicts? A hint of the past? Perhaps nothing is ever set in stone until it unfolds.
Welcome back after this extended time of business and priorities for us. We've managed to get back on track with a new update for you all, with the newest chapter, new supports, and some custom spritework for some of the characters by the highly skilled Dakemaner ("D" in Icarue's discord). We hope you enjoy!
Additionally, we have implemented some balance changes and a skip to the previous chapter so you can enjoy them. Hopefully, this will make more units more viable.
v0.8.0.1
Fixed units getting build randomly at level-up.
Fixed some recruit windows overlapping with normal windows
Fixed Jakson's upgraded sprites (same as normal, just that now they appear)
Fixed a lot of typos and equipment issues
v0.8.0
Anyone getting a bit hungry? Lost in the forest of life, emotions, and the wild tundras of the past? (And maybe just in general lost in the wilderness without much food). Well, have we got a solution for you! It’s time to go get our next dinner.
We’re back with another Oathbreaker update, introducing a new recruitment paralogue for Act 2, a new supply run, new art, and so much more. We hope you enjoy it!

v0.7.0
Welcome back to Ilvanis and the story of Oathbreaker! It's been a bit of a longer development cycle for an update than usual, and for that, we hope you understand the various issues that delayed it between personal ones and technical ones. But, with that said, welcome back to the climactic end to Act 1 of the story! Yes, you heard that right. Of the story's planned three acts, we've reached the end of numero uno. I won't say anything more since, well, that'll probably be best left for actually playing it. Thank you for your patience, and we hope you enjoy it!

I overall really enjoyed the game but have some critcisms that prevent me from giving it a 5. Before I begin it is very important to state that this is a Story focused game with MtF transformations . This means Story 1st, TF 2nd and romance 3rd. It is also a slow burn if any of the above bother you don't play the game. Story 5/5 The author is good with their stories and I would argue it has better writing than some AAA games. Characters motivations and the world is well built up and flows well with everything tying together with great fore shadowing and build up. However it is slow and very story focused just like in Fire emblem games the romance is towards the end. In its current state romances Are about half way done. Also for those that want a taste of the MtF TFs, the game lets you skip to chapter 9 I would suggest doing that to see if the game is for you. Characters 4.5/5 The characters are multi-layered and not what they appear at first and will open up over time. There is a great variety in the cast and with behaviors that make sense due to their backgrounds. Main gripe was that I think the Pup name should have been dropped a little earlier as its hard to take the leader of a mercenary group seriously when they are nicknamed Pup. Also Pup's development is very slow but it does make sense within the story 's context but some will not like having to wait so long. Art 3/5 What is there is great and the scenes are good just needs more of it basically. Also the TF for a certain character released in the current patch really needs a full body CG rather than just a portrait. Romance 5/5 I like the slow build up when it comes to romance it really does remind me of Fire emblem supports. Erotic content 2/5 What is there is good but again there is very little while it is designed to be a slow build up towards the end. It will not be satisfying to some as for example I think there was a missed opportunity for the MC to have a masturbation scene at this point while exploring their new body. Or possibly a sex scene for the more sexually open character like Otis. Basically this and the lack of art hold the game back from being a 5. TF content 5/5 I like the variety and how it has happened to so far. However if you are looking for FtM there is none to be found here. Basically there is standard MtF transformation over time done in stages, There is a body hilarious body swap that happened by accident, A TF done as a temporary power up as they channel the power of their ancestors to they can switch between male and female whenever they want. Also an instant TF which can be avoided by player choice. There will be more to come so the variety is great if you like this content. Core gameplay 5/5. I still give this a 5 even if a couple of battles are extremely long. The reason why is because you can control the difficultly for example if you hate the game play you can use the 3 test weapons to win the battles quickly and continue the story. Not many devs add an option for those who want to go through the story quickly so a 5/5 for this option. Overall maybe not the best game for a site like this but if you are into slow build up romances in a Fire Emblem style this will be the game for you.
