Valdmere doesn't care about your problems. It never did. Aldric Vane is a sellsword scraping the bottom of his last coin nine coppers, a leaking roof, and a partner named Mira who expresses concern exclusively through insults. When a mercenary contract lands on the table, they take it. Simple job. One night. A goblin-held mine, some stolen cargo, easy silver. Nothing goes as planned. Spoiler Aldric drags himself out of that mine broken and bleeding, and the only healer willing to see him at that hour operates out of Valdmere's darkest district. She fixes the wound. She gives him a vial. She smiles like she knows something he doesn't. He drinks it. He sleeps. By morning, his skin is softer. By Day 3, his waist has pulled in. By Day 7, the mirror is showing him something he doesn't have a name for yet. The alchemist who made the potion has vanished. The stall is gone. Nobody remembers her face. And the transformation moves forward whether Aldric is ready for it or not, one sleepless morning at a time, one cracked reflection at a time, one conversation with Mira that neither of them knows how to finish. Thirty days before it becomes permanent. Somewhere in this city or beyond it answers exist. The question The Wrong Potion keeps asking isn't whether Aldric finds the antidote. It's whether he still wants it when he does.

v0.0.3 STORY Day 4 fully written and implemented. Aldric wakes to the changes accelerating overnight — skin smoother, stubble all but gone, chest hair thinning to nothing. He and Mira head to the Cistern District to confront Ysolde about it, wait on her apprentice Nella, and get a partial answer that reframes what the vial actually did. The day rolls on through lunch at the Broken Antler, locking in the escort contract with Voss and the advance pay, and a supply run through the market before the road out of Valdmere. v0.0.2 STORY Day 3 fully written and implemented. Aldric wakes up the morning after Ysolde's vial and something is already wrong - the skin too smooth, the stubble too thin, the nerve endings turned up to a frequency they've never used before. Two branching paths through the morning depending on whether you waited for Mira or went downstairs alone, each one landing differently. The Consortium debt gets a shape. Mira's tunnel map buys them breathing room, Voss gives them the escort contract, and Grent comes knocking right on schedule. SIDE QUEST TESS RETURNS - The barmaid who read Aldric's scars like a book is back, and this time she's reading something else. A continuation of the Barmaid's Eye questline from 0.0.1. Tess notices the changes before Aldric is ready to name them - the skin, the stubble, the way he's holding himself. She doesn't push. She just sees, and seeing is the most unsettling thing she could do. v0.0.1 Initial Release

A lot of text. Really a lot of text. But anyone familiar with good old tabletop RPGs played around a table with friends will appreciate this. The artwork is good and employs a style rarely seen. Yes, it’s AI-generated, but that can still be used to create something great. For a release that has only had one update so far, the story is already quite extensive. There is plenty to discover, though unfortunately, not everything is freely accessible yet. I hope that changes after the first week at the latest. After all, there are side quests that aren't mandatory. There are already a few choices available, making it clear that you’ll be able to explore different paths later on. A nice little touch would be if the MC acted like a jerk toward the waitress, even though he has a girlfriend—after all, he’ll undoubtedly have to beg for a job at the tavern later if the story follows the usual tropes. It would be great if he had a rival there instead of a waitress he hits on, only for her to later support his transformation. That would be a refreshing change of pace. If the writer doesn't lose interest and the developer's muse puts in a little overtime, this promises to be a very interesting adventure.
