As the new developer, I only truly got the keys to the kingdom a few months ago. I have spent the majority of that time getting to grips with the code, understanding the characters, and performing extensive quality enhancements to ensure the game is stable. Recommendation: Start a New Game While your old save files should work, I strongly recommend starting a fresh save. It has been three years, and this release serves as the bedrock for the game going forward. A fresh start ensures you see the rewritten flow, the visual upgrades, and the new systems working as intended. Plus, it’s the perfect way to refresh your memory before the next chapter begins! (See the note on the Codex below for more reasons to restart!) What’s New in This Update? This update is about polishing the experience and setting the stage for the future. Part One Complete: The story for Part One is now finalized. New Codex System: Added a lore tracker to keep tabs on the story and world. Visual Overhaul: Re-rendered many Chapter 1 scenes to match the visual quality of the later game. Restored Content: Re-introduced several previously removed scenes. New Story Content: Added a brand new flashback scene where Jess goes missing. New Lewd Content: Added a new scene with Sophia. Achievements: Added new achievements and removed broken/defunct ones. Narrative Flow: Rewrote several sections to improve flow (without changing the core story). Galleries Unlocked: All image galleries are now unlocked for free. Cheats Added: Implemented a cheat system (unlocked via DLC). UI Updates: Various visual menu changes and improvements. A Note on the Codex & Old Saves If you decide to load a save from a previous version, the new Codex System will not work correctly. If you start a new game: The Codex will function perfectly. If you load an old save: The Codex may be buggy, however, once you transfer your save data to Part Two in the future, it will correct itself. Minor Note: I didn't want to delay the release any longer, so some Codex entries are currently missing images. These will be patched in very soon! v2306 - 3 new scenes - 7 new animations - 330 new renders v2303b Finished audio in the final sections of 2303 release Fixed an issue whereby dialogue assumed you had barged into Chelsea's apartment. Fixed a few issues with the replay gallery. Replays should now unlock correctly. Fixed a few other audio issues Fixed a couple of incorrect images being shown. v2303 Important notes: Don't forget, you will need to start a fresh save in this release. Your old saves will NOT work with this version. Fresh saves WILL continue working in upcoming releases. This version is the new STARTING POINT of the game. We have not yet caught back up to the story point in the old version but there is lots of new content in-between old scenes. We didn't quite get the audio fully complete towards the end. There is a warning in place where this begins at the moment but we will push out a fix for this in the coming days. Changelog: Version naming format has changed (YYMM) Updates will now be pushed every 2 months. The game is no longer split into 'chapters'. Added Visual Novel Purist mode alongside the existing Interactive mode. Completely revamped the points system. Added difficulties settings. Full game has now been rewritten up to around halfway through the OLD chapter 3. Loads of new story scenes with the usual high quality renders and writing you already love. New story arcs for some characters and tweaks to existing story arcs. Lots of new story scenes Game playtime is now around 3.25 hours compared to 2 hours Now 2443 images and animations compared to 1647 Basically forget the old game and play the new game, even most of the re-used scenes have been completely rewritten and re-rendered/improved. V0.3.1 PLEASE NOTE!! - There are some plot conflicts in this release between chapter 1 and the other 2 chapters. Nothing that will ruin your experience but there may be some references that don't entirely make sense. This is because Chapter 1 references the NEW plot / story elements whereas Chapters 2 and 3 are still being rewritten. - Entire dialogue of Chapter 1 rewritten. - A few renders added. - Lots of renders fixed. - An animation replaced. - Minor story changes. - Audio changes. - General improvements.
